We're going to dive into the Saturday slate of Divisional Weekend and look at the statistical advantages for these two match ups. We're going to then unveil what our projection is for Commanders at Lions.

DETROIT, MI - Divisional Weekend is one of, if not the best weekend of NFL football, chocked full of incredible match ups and this game is absolutely one of them this year. I am hoping for a high scoring game and the decision comes down to a last second FG or Hail Mary. Should be the best weather game of the weekend haha, Jayden Daniels on a fast track like Ford Field will be very, very exciting against the depleted Lions defense.

Jayden Daniels is the real deal but his passing game on the road has been suspect and his O-Line hasn't done a lot to protect him throughout the season as you can see by the numbers below. Watch out for a few sacks from the Lions. I do think Jayden gets a couple big plays on this Lions Defense but will it be enough? Check out Our Projections to see.

The Washington Run game can be devastating but, as we said last week Brian Robinson Jr. needs to should more of the load for the Commanders to be more versatile. Of course Jayden Daniels will run and run well against a Lions Defense that is not good against mobile QBs and hasn't been at all this season especially. The return of Austin Eckler was certainly noticed last week and one more week in the offense and in a Cliff Kingsbury game plan for the biggest game of the year... watch out. Our Projection for Eckler last week cashed, will we have another this week?

The Commanders Defense is no world beater and going up against the potent Lions offense will likely be a hefty challenge. This match up is very exciting and Jared Goff could have a career day. Goff has connected with their speed threat Jameson Williams and that could be a connection this weekend that explodes for multiple big plays!! There has to be a Player Prop or two in Our Projections.... right?

The Lions get their "Knuckles" back in David Montgomery. This will. unlock another component of their offensive game plan and could pose a big problem for the Commanders rush defense which hasn't been very good this year. Ben Johnson has been calling some outrageous plays this season and look for some trickery on Saturday night. Watch out for a receiver getting a few touches.

We like the Lions to win but the Commanders to cover anddo think it will be a very high scoring affair with defenses giving up big plays and potentially making big plays leading to quick scoring chances.
