NFC North


The 2024 NFC North race promises to be highly competitive, with all four teams pushing for contention. The Detroit Lions are favored to repeat as division champions (+135 odds), boasting a strong offense led by Jared Goff and an improving defense. After winning their first division title in 30 years, they’re poised for another deep playoff run (Pro Football Network).


The Green Bay Packers (+225) will rely on Jordan Love’s continued development to compete. With a bolstered defense and Love's improving consistency, Green Bay looks to reclaim its dominance in the division (FOX Sports).


The Chicago Bears are rebuilding around Justin Fields, who, with new offensive weapons like D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen, could make them a surprise contender if the revamped roster gels quickly (PickDawgz) (Pro Football Network).


The Minnesota Vikings, despite quarterback uncertainty, remain in the mix due to defensive upgrades. Success depends on whether Sam Darnold or a rookie QB can lead the offense effectively (PickDawgz).

The Chicago Bears enter the 2024 season with renewed optimism after a series of bold offseason moves. Headlined by their selection of Caleb Williams as the first overall pick, the Bears look to turn the corner on years of struggle. Williams, a generational talent, joins a revamped roster that includes key additions like wide receiver Keenan Allen, running back D'Andre Swift, and tight end Gerald Everett. Expectations are high for the young quarterback, who is a front-runner for Offensive Rookie of the Year along with 9th overall pick, Rome Odunze. With these additions, veteran receiver D.J. The Detroit Lions enter the 2024 NFL season with unprecedented optimism. Coming off a remarkable 2023 campaign where they were one game shy of the Super Bowl, head coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes have built a roster that’s now viewed as a legitimate Super Bowl contender.


This is uncharted territory for the Lions, who have been perennial underdogs in the past. With key offensive firepower like QB Jared Goff, a much-improved running game, and new rookie additions, Detroit boasted one of the top-five offenses in the NFL last season, averaging 27 points per game. Defensively, Aidan Hutchinson’s Pro Bowl season on the edge set the tone for a Lions defense that was among the league’s best at stopping the run. Expectations in Detroit have never been higher. The Minnesota Vikings enter the 2024 season with cautious optimism and some big question marks, especially at quarterback. After a 7-10 record in 2023, the Vikings are in a transition period, moving on from Kirk Cousins, with veteran Sam Darnold likely stepping in due to the injury to JJ McCarthy, to begin the season. Expectations are measured, with sportsbooks and analysts predicting a modest win total of around 7-8 games. One of the biggest concerns is how effectively Darnold will perform under center and whether he can utilize the talent around him.


Despite the uncertainty at quarterback, the Vikings boast significant star power, especially with wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who is expected to aim for a historic 2,000-yard season now that he’s fully healthy. Jefferson remains the centerpiece of the offense, and with tight end T.J. Hockenson also playing a prominent role, Minnesota’s passing game could be explosive if they find consistent quarterback play.
